It is important to take a note of the cases where the visa getting rejected for most common reasons. It is not just money you invest and apply for schengen Visa, it’s about time. Visa getting denied is quite an unpleasant experience where no one would want that to happen.

Most successful Visas yet times are known to get rejected at some point of time after Proper investigation. Hence it is advised not to mention or present false representation.

Though sometimes we do not know why visas get rejected, we do have some information on how to avoid those common errors.

Usually, your Consular, will demand for documents that are required for application with necessary documentation to support your submission. When you FAIL to provide all the information that has been requested from you, it is likely your visa getting denied.

It could also be a reason why visa gets rejected is when the provided information doesn’t reveal your honesty. If you are involved in any illegal activities your visa officer will know.

Few things that help you avoid common mistakes are below.

  • The First and foremost thing that any applicant has to provide is valid Passport with at least three months of validity before it gets expired.
  • Submission of wrong documents instead of correct document such as travel document will lead to rejection.
  • If Passport validity is more than 10 years.    
  • Passport should be intact and properly maintained; presenting torn or pages apart or missing will lead to visa rejection.
  • While there should be a proper reason why you want to travel to schengen country, ensure, you have adequate amount of finances maintained on your bank balance sheet.
  • Provide the evidence of your stay by hotel booking and your itinerary of travel on how you are going to move across schengen regions etc.
  • When you present yourself with fake ID’s it might lead to complications in the process of your application and eventually visa rejection happen.
  • If  you are connected to terrorism by any means or involved in any crime or give an impression of any threat to its citizens or economy or politically, you will absolutely denied with visa and be banned forever from applying again in the future.
  • If you are travelling to one schengen country and applying at different embassy’s country then your visa is denied provided you have also mentioned where you are travelling to in schengen area.
  • If you have not already booked your flight especially when you are travelling in a group will lead to visa denial.
  • If you have missed to show the travel plan you have applied for the countries, for example like tickets.
  • You will have to submit all the hotel bookings for all the countries you have applied for.
  • If you are travelling on business purpose or visiting purpose to the schengen country referred by someone. It is mandatory to show that letter heading referring you and should be stamped and signed.
  • The reference letter shouldn’t be older than three months.
  • Visa officer will assess your financial requirement while being aboard that country and look for funds in your account to check whether you can support your stay.
  • In case you are presenting travelers cheque ensure you are providing matching name with the application.
  • Some people present credit card statement when asked for bank statement of their finances. Avoid this.
  • If you are presenting marriage certificate, your names on it should match with the passport and application.

-Do not give marriage certificate if it’s in non English. Get this document translated and submit.

-Failing to prove your parents to the child in the application, in case you are going to travel with the child.

-If the child is adopted, prove it by presenting adoptive certificates.

  • If you have schengen visa that is still active it won’t give you another schengen visa.
  • If you have previously overstayed in schengen country and it is most likely you will be denied visa. But it is always good to check with the visa officer and give a valid reason why you had to overstay. This way you may be allowed entry again, however it depends on case to case.
